Category
In order to help bidders find your auction, you should be sure to place your auction item within a category that comes the closest to describing your item.  Children's Book Auction uses "nested" categories which allow sellers to get maximum exposure even if they put their item in a small sub-category.  "Parent" categories not only display their listings, but also all the listings in each "child" category (sub-category) beneath that parent.  So, if you list your item in
Picture Books : Vintage Picture Books (pre-1960)+ : Pre-1930,
your book will also appear when browsers look in it's parent category
Picture Books : Vintage Picture Books (pre-1960)+
or it's parent top level category,
Picture Books.

If your item fits in more than one category, you can create a Linked auction in another category that points to your primary auction (use the Sell Similar option in your My Auctions page to copy your primary auction exactly with one click).
