Relisting your Auctions

Relist an Individual Auction

Unsuccessful auctions can be relisted once for free.

An auction is considered unsuccessful if no bids were placed or if bids that were placed didn’t exceed the reserve price (if applicable).  If the auction has closed successfully or if it has already been relisted for free, the user can still relist the auction, but they will be charged the regular listing fees.

Sellers will find links to relist their auctions

  • In the unsuccessful End-of-Auction email notice automatically generated when the auction closes.

  • In the Bidding area of the Auction Listing.

  • In the Closed/Unsold section of their My Auctions page.

Users have two options to relist closed auctions from their My Auctions page . For each closed auction there is a button to the right called "Relist". This button has two states, a free relist state, indicated by a green "Relist" button , and a chargeable relist state, indicated by a gray "Relist" button .

When the "Relist" button is clicked, the user will be taken to an edit page where he or she can change some of the auction attributes before relisting the auction.

Bulk Relist

Users have the option to perform certain operations on a number of auctions at one time rather than maintaining each auction separately. There is a check box next to each auction that is used by the buttons at the bottom of the page. One of those buttons is the "Relist Selected" button. When a user clicks this button, the system will relist all of the auctions with the check box next to the listing checked.

By clicking on this button, users will be taken to a simple preview page and will not be able to edit any parts of the auctions they are relisting. If the user wants to edit parts of the auctions before relisting them, they need to follow the process for relisting a single auction.
