Children's Book Market Gift Certificates 

• Gift certificates can be used toward the purchase of any item on ChildrensBookAuction.com

• Good for merchandise plus any shipping, gift wrapping, or other charges.  No cash or other payment is necessary unless the total purchase amount is greater than the gift certificate amount.

• Gift certificates are available in two formats, Paper or Online.

• Paper gift certificates must be used in their entirety (no partial credit will be issued).

Buyer Instructions for redeeming gift certificates

1. Notify seller you want to use a gift certificate and include your gift certificate number.

2. Seller confirms the gift certificate is valid and belongs to the buyer by emailing ChildrensBookMarket.

3. ChildrensBookMarket immediately emails confirmation to buyer and seller and sends a check to the seller.

4. Paper gift certificates are no longer valid (no partial credit can be issued).

5. Buyer should mark their paper gift certificate "void" or destroy it (to prevent accidentally attempting to use it again).

6. If any additional amount is due (over the gift certificate amount), buyer pays the seller directly using the seller's stated accepted payment options.
   
   Note: Gift certificates cannot be redeemed for cash

Seller Instructions for gift certificates reimbursement

• Buyer notifies seller they want to use "gift certificate number ____".

• Seller confirms the gift certificate is valid and belongs to the buyer by emailing GiftCertificates@ChildrensBookMarket.com, with:

  • The buyers username

  • The gift certificate number

  • The auction item number it will be used for

• ChildrensBookMarket immediately emails confirmation to buyer and seller and applies the gift certificate amount as a credit to the seller's account.

• Sellers can request a check for any credit on their account at any time or they can spend their account credit to purchase ChildrensBookAuction merchandise.

• Seller ships item immediately (or when any additional payment over the gift certificate amount arrives from buyer).

Gift Certificates promote Children's Book Market while they promote literacy. 

• All profits from seller fees Children's Book Auction will be donated back as gift certificates to be given away.

• Donor Mart applicants will be granted available donated gift certificates as determined by our donor committee.

• Additional gift certificates will be donated directly to schools and literacy groups to promote the site.

• Gift certificates provide an ongoing base of "buyers" and bidding activity.
