About Teacher Gift Certificates

DonorMart Teacher Gift Certificates are identical to GiftGallery Gift Certificates (see below) except they are given to a teacher or adult supervisor instead of directly to the actual recipient:  The teacher/supervisor:

  • helps their students select and purchase GiftGallery books to keep for themselves (ownership promotes reading)

  • uses the Gift Certificates to buy books for their library or classroom

  • uses the Gift Certificates for achievement or participation awards

Giving gift certificates to adult supervisors (teachers, librarians, literacy advocates, special education experts, social workers, child care personnel, etc.) has significant advantages in many situations:

  • Supervisors can help children select their free GiftGallery items

    • appropriate reading level

    • appropriate subject

    • long-term interest

  • Supervisors control distribution

    • gifts are combined for shipping (when requested)

    • students do not need to register or submit request forms

    • status/information for the Gift Certificates is contained in a single account

    • Supervisors can add their own bookplates or enclosures when the books are distributed

  • Individual ChildrensBookMarket representative available upon request
